Icterine
Icterine is our most modern, concentrated arterial dye. It is a super concentrated, non-dehydrating tinctorial additive specifically formulated to give the embalmer selective and precise control over tissue colouring in an infinite range of ethnic tissue tints.
Performance Highlights:
- Regular: Red tones. Recommended for infants and light completions.
- Suntan: For dark complexions.
- Peach: Reddish-orange tone. As popular as regular Icterine. Also intended for elderly cases, naturally yellowish complexions and Asian types.
- Tan: For somewhat weathered complexions. As the name suggests, similar to Suntan, but has only the brown tones without the reddish colouration.
Every embalmer will have their own preferences when it comes to the addition of dye additives. We recommend starting with a small amount of dye added to your embalming solution. The amount of dye used can be increased as you progress, if the colouration is not to your satisfaction.
